indonesian embassy

indonesia has a very unique custom.

anytime any indonesian leaves indonesia, he/she need to pay fiscal fee. it is a kind of tax we need to pay beside the airport tax. anybody leaves indonesia would be considered as a "rich" people as they be able to buy airline ticket and will spend at least couple of days abroad. isnt that amazing?

last week, as i need to change my passport address (to avoid fiscal fee when i need to go back to singapore from indonesia), mom and i went to kedutaan besar republik indonesia (whoaaaa .. so proud to type this, hmmm am i that proud to be a part of indonesia? hehehe) -- aka indonesian embassy.

there's no bus line will take you to indonesian embassy. so you need to ride taxi to reach there, also when you leave the embassy. according to www.streetdirectory.com, the nearest bus stop is 700m away from the embassy. so take taxi is a good idea indeed :) unless you are a dedicated athelete. as my friend eka said, indonesian embassy is an elite embassy, for elite people, since you cannot reach it by bus. hehehe

the service was so quick.
on day 1, i need to queue for guest tag. then filled a changes form. next was go to the counter to handed my passport, copy of my employment pass and the changes form. they gave me a ticket for my passport collection for the next day.
on day 2, at 16.20pm, after got my guest tag, i just went to the collection counter to pick up my passport. now my passport got an extra sticker on the last blank page, with my singapore's address stated on the sticker.

my friend said that passport collection must be performed between 15-17pm, and never be late since the counter is very dedicated about the time to close. hehehe .. soooo indonesia :)

philippians 3:20 says :
but our citizenship is in heaven. and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ..
